TYPOLOGY OF NEW TOURIST DESTINATIONS
Abstract
Tourist destinations know as many forms as there are forms of tourism, for these reasons we must think of a tourist system consisting of tourists and four geographical elements, such as the area that generates tourists, the transit region, the destination region and the tourist transit region. Changing the attitude of those who travel to certain destinations towards the environment will determine the revaluation of destinations and the development of new destinations more friendly to natural environmental factors, by increasing the offer of ecotourism activity in urban areas. Finding new traditional tourist destinations is the duty of those who develop tourism products, so as not to affect the natural environment and preserve biodiversity, needing managerial solutions to encourage new forms of alternative tourism that avoids environmental risk by improving environmental factors.
