STUDY ON AIR TRAVEL MARKET IN ROMANIA
Abstract
Air transport is an important component of the world economy, stimulating the development of the tourism industry. This paper analyzes the air transport market in Romania, under the influence of the following variables: consumers’ incomes, airline tariffs and the offers of the airline companies. The liberalization of air travel has increased competition between airlines and between airports. The Romanian air transport market is on the rise, attracting an increasing number of airlines. The departures of Romanian tourists abroad recorded about 6.5 million passengers, in 2018.
