THE ROLE OF PROJECTS IN TOURISM DEVELOPMENT. STUDY CASE MATKA CANYON, FORMER YUGOSLAV REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

Abstract


In a world of constant change, projects are the way society responds and adapts to the changing contexts. In general, the role of project is to solve a clearly defined problem in a predetermined period.

The aim of the article is to identify the level of tourism development and highlight the need of projects in tourism development. In this article authors have chosen Matka Canyon from Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia as research area because in present this touristic attraction does not completely  fulfill needs and wants of tourists even  its unique landscapes, natural enchanting and underwater caves.
