THE EVOLUTION OF THE PERFORMANCE INDICATORS SPECIFIC TO THE HOTEL OFFER IN EUROPE

Abstract


This paper presents the European hotel offer, analyzing its performance indicators for the period 2012-2013. The results of the European hotel markets vary considerably in performance from country to country and even within the same country, recording significant differences in performance. The performances of the European hotel chains are measured by indicators such as the occupancy rate, the average daily rate, the revenue per available room. The accommodation industry should adjust to the new trends, such as mobile booking, shift to direct bookings, social media marketing, which will have a strong impact on its performance.
